But when he joins in, the cannon guys will be in the larger area that Akagi himself will fight you in. It's just harder because Akagi's messing with you, but it can definitely be done. Just free run over there with R2 while in combat and do some large moves that either kill them or trigger them to engage.

I guess I did it wrong, because I can't find any cannon men. What dialogue option should I choose when Akagi grabs the Consulate brat? It wouldn't let me attack them. ♥♥♥♥ this, I guess I HAVE to go do the ♥♥♥♥ing tournament. Do I have to side with the foreigners, or can I do it as an independent?If you want to fight Kogure, you need to side with the foreigners.Different side will give you different enemies on the tournament.As a side note, going in as Independent will net you a really nice Shinobi stance style.
